How to Join Squash Levels

Hopefully you will now have had time to find your way around the new Maidenhead squash league system and have entered some match results to become familiar with the new design.

As you know, we have a generic log in for the league which all players can use to access player contact details and enter results. However, you may also recall that you can take out a personal membership to the Squash Levels site for £5 per year which provides some additional benefits which can be seen in detail here and may be of interest to you.

You get 90 days free membership and then Squash Levels will email you to see if you want to take out a full year membership for £5.

However, we have had feedback from one player who registered for Squash Levels but then encountered some problems with managing his box league. Upon review, we feel the process is a little complicated so have written this blog to hopefully clarify the process.

The Joining Screen

There is a lot of text on the page which may put you off! So in the interests of keeping it simple, here is our summary of what to do.

Finding Yourself

The first thing to note is that when you join the league, we will add you to the system with your email address and therefore you will be in the system already. So all you should actually need to do is find yourself and register as a member.

To find yourself in the system, click in the name box and start typing your name. As you type you will see a list of players appear which match the text you are typing. Using Mr Roy Dowling as an example:

So having typed 'Roy Do' we can now see a list of matching players so all I need to do is click my player record - in this case the third one down.

Please Note: It is important you select your player record from the list shown so that the system knows you are claiming the player record in our league. If you just type your name into the Name box you will create a duplicate player record and not be able to log in.

Completing Your Details

Having clicked your player record, the form will populate with information held by the system as shown below:

You now just need to complete the red fields (email and password) and correct any of the green ones if needed after which a submit button will appear at the bottom of the page.

Click submit and your membership should be activated. Again, the first 90 days is free after which you will be emailed to see if you want to renew your membership for a full year for £5.

If you decide not to join Squash Levels, you can still access the Maidenhead box league system as normal with the generic club log in details you have already been given.
