With the end of the season drawing close, all three teams are fighting near the tops of their respective tables. Here is the news from the latest set of league games.

Maidenhead 1
Maidenhead 1 had no game last week and slip to 4th in the division although with a game in hand over University 2 in 3rd place. With 2 games to play, Maidenhead 1 still have an outside chance of stealing 2nd spot.
Current standings in Division 2B are:

Maidenhead 2
Maidenhead 2 were at home to Datchet & Windsor 2 in a tough 'top-of-the-table' clash. Maidenhead 2 ran out comfortable winners 4 rubbers to 1 and by a huge 19 points to 7.
As a result, the 2nd team are now guaranteed one of the 2 promotion spots from their division!! See table below. Congratulations to all 18 players who have played at some point in the season for contributing to that. That is 2 straight promotions in the 2 Winter leagues we have played in.
The hard work is not yet over though. The 2nds have a bye in 2 weeks, and then the final game on 30th March is basically a winner-takes-all match against Bounty 3 for top spot.
Assuming they take full points from their penultimate game against Bracknell, Bounty will have a 7 point lead over us. Hopefully a win would be enough to overhaul that. All of our victories so far this season have been by more than the 8 point gap we need.
The current standings in Division 3B are:

Maidenhead 3
Maidenhead 3 had a tricky home game over an improving Tadley team but managed to run out comfortable winners eventually by 4 rubbers to 1 and 17 points to 6. It could have been much closer if Mistry (Snr) hadn't managed to pull back a 2-0 deficit in his match to snatch a 3-2 victory with a combination of angry self-motivation and psychological warfare on his opponent.
The result leaves Maidenhead 3 in 3rd place in the division, just 3 points behind Wellington 5 in 2nd. With both teams yet to play the top team Bounty 4, it promises to be a close run-in and the next match could prove pivotal in the quest for 2nd place.
The current standings in Division 4B are:

Next Matches
