So this week saw the 1st round of games in the Berkshire Squash Winter League. With no game for the 1st team, it was down to the 2nd and 3rd teams to get the show on the road with both playing at home.

Maidenhead 2nd Team vs Aldermaston 3

A very comfortable start in Div 3B for the 2nds who blew past Aldermaston 3, with only 28 points conceded across 5 strings. Harder challenges lie ahead but great to get maximum points to kick us off.

Steve Lansley 3-0 Steve Walder Damian Smith 3-0 Tim Critchard David Elkins 3-0 John Ansell Janak Mistry 3-0 Andrew McAlley Jerry Dunn 3-0 Martyn Staff

You can view the current league table by selecting Division 3B at the Berkshire Squash website.

Maidenhead 3rd Team vs Caversham PV

Not quite so straight forward for the 3rds! But at least we got off to a winning start in our very first match in the Berskhire league.

It was 2 matches all and 2 games all in the final match for Andrew and thankfully he went on to with the final game to seal the match win 3-2. The final scores were:

Mark Fish 0-3 James Knight

Robin Trinder 1-3 Rakesh Bhandari

Andrew Essex 3-2 Ash Darr

Richard Martinez 3-0 Craig Read

Richard Ives 3-0 Matthew Loveday

You can view the league table by selecting Division 4A at the Berkshire Squash website.

Next Matches

The next round of matches take place on Thursday 29th September as follows:

Maidenhead 2 vs The Real Fitness First (Away)

Maidenhead 3 vs David Lloyd Newbury (Away)

If you are free that evening, feel free to pop down to the Magnet and cheer on the 1st team!
